Shayla is the passionate founder and owner of Twice Exceptional Homeschooling (2E Homeschooling), a platform dedicated to supporting families, educators, and caregivers of twice-exceptional (2e) learners. As a homeschooling mother of a 2e child herself, Shayla understands firsthand the unique joys and challenges that come with raising and educating children who are both gifted and have learning differences.

With a background in special education and gifted education, Shayla combines her professional knowledge with personal experience to provide practical resources, expert strategies, and emotional support to families navigating the world of 2e homeschooling. Her goal is to create a welcoming, compassionate community where parents and educators can find guidance, inspiration, and the tools they need to create an effective, personalized learning environment for their twice-exceptional children.

When she’s not working on the website, Shayla enjoys connecting with other 2e families, advocating for inclusive education practices, and exploring new, creative ways to make learning accessible and fun for her own child. She believes that every 2e student has the potential to thrive, and she’s committed to helping families empower their children to reach their full academic and personal potential.
